Spring Cleaning the Cave

Howdy Y’all, Ogg and I have some exciting new news about Cave Drawings 360º.

As many of you know, I started this page a little over three (3) years ago, with high hopes of it becoming an outlet for many of the things I wanted to share online with others. It contained many of my own personal thoughts/beliefs, some funny stories, and some great photography I found in my travels around the internet.

Much to my chagrin though, I must admit that I just didn’t maintain this site like I should have, finding out that to do it justice like I wanted to was a whole lot of work, and it was so much easier to just leave a “Comment” on an already established thread I found on some social media site instead. In other words, I just got lazy…

The problem with the later is though, unlike some, I can’t just sum up the totality of what I have to say, or for that matter what I know about something, in 140 characters or less. Unlike some who that is definitely the complete and total summation of their ability to express themselves… and… not even in complete sentences or thoughts.

Well, as of right now, that’s all going to change…

Ogg and I have done a bit of Spring cleaning here in the Cave, and gotten rid of some of the clutter, so that to begin with we can concentrate on just a few things, and get to doing them very well.

We’ve cut the number of pages down to just two (2) which are the Main/Title Page (Ogg’s Cave) telling everyone what the site is all about, and a second page (Post Cave) which contains the body of all the posts We’ve made in the past.

Also, along the lines of simplification, on the Ogg’s Cave and the Post Cave pages, you will find a side-bar drop down menu, marked Categories, which for now lists a few different types of posts by content types, so you can narrow your search when looking for an article/missive you want to read. More categories will come as we learn and grow.

One of the things that recently inspired me to do this, was a report on one of the daily media outlets I source from, that was all about a young 15 year old East Coast kid, who at the age of 13 had decided to start a weekly “News Letter”.

What his intent was; was an attempt to clear away a lot of the clutter, and extreme bias you always find on pretty much all media outlets, by gleaning through all kinds of sources (much like I do daily) listing those maybe 5 – 6 News Cycle Story-Lines of the week that concern us all in some manner, and, looking for those “Kernels” of verifiable fact common to them all.

His News Letter(s), have sky-rocketed in readership in the last couple of years, even to the end, that the major media outlets look to his missives as substantive sources which can be vetted, and relied upon as “Good References

Ogg and I, are not trying to mirror this kids efforts here, yet, it would seem that there is a great need in this fast paced hustle and bustle in which we live today, for there to be a place(s) where people can go and get, as the famous TV show line goes… “Just The Facts Ma’am… Just The Facts”.

We’re working on several story lines right now, having started this last Sunday the 28th, and hope to have a submission for y’all by this Friday – Saturday at the latest.

Until then, do watch for posts on your favorite Social Media Pages, letting you know we’ve gone to Post…..

The Moral Dilemma, and the unexpected lesson learned

I came across this story the other day, while in my daily trek across the Web catching up on the news, looking for those just too cute to not post animal pictures, and of course those. to die for funny memes, that are the mainstay of pretty much any social media site you go to…, upon reading it through, it touched me, and I thought it was quite good enough to be passed along, as it might speak to many of you as well. Coincidence or Contrived

I am not one who believes in coincidence, but rather, that things happen, because of other actions, which more times than not, are the manufactured results of long laid plans.  Machinations if you will…,  made by some who lurk in the background, and/or the shadows, manipulating/directing, as if a large orchestra made up of disparate members, all focused on the directors wand. Political Correctness: The Anti-1st Amendment Movement — Part II… The rest of the story, and a different perspective…

In Part I (one), I stated that for the most part of the twentieth century, it was divergent political ideologies who used PC for the purpose of…

“… By controlling/changing the language (that which is used to describe) you can change the way that people think.” (control of the people period, is the implied intention)

… for the purpose of…

“… providing for “correct” positions on many matters of politics.”

This has since the late 1980’s through 1990’s, and still ongoing today, has trans morphed into individuals, and or small groups of people, (special interest groups and the government) using PC as a tool, or two edged sword so to speak, to change/control/force the majority to bend to their will in alignment with agendas not of the peoples choosing. Political Correctness: The Anti-1st Amendment Movement

I am going to submit this conversation in two parts, because of overall length, (not intended when I started out) and to leave some time for response.

Constitution of the U.S.

Amendment I

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances”.

The right to Freedom of speech is one of the most famous, and highly contested amendments of what is commonly known as the Bill of Rights, (1-10 of the amendments to the Constitution) and though they’ve been disputed many times, all of these rights, are just as highly regulated. (ie: cases of slander, liable, and defamation of character… and you can’t just holler fire in a crowded theater unless of course it is on fire)

While these above rights/regulations have been properly enacted in the form of laws, there is a much more insidious attempt at regulation of our first amendment rights that has been gaining more, and more momentum.

Over the last several decades, these PC regulations have been used to influence just about everything in our daily lives. They are continuously being foisted upon us by a minority of “We the People”, rather than a majority and most definitely sans the proper legislative process required for enactment as prescribed by the Constitution for as the rule of governance in the US.

What you find if you are to look at what the most common current premise of Political Correctness is today, you will find that it is a process by which…

“controlling/changing the language you can change the way that people think.” (Control of the people period, is implied)

… and by definition it is,…

“a term that refers to enforced language, ideas, or policies that address perceived discrimination against political, social or economical groups (“supposed protected classes”) These groups most prominently include those defined by gender, race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age and disability.”

“Historically, the term was a colloquialism used in the early-to-mid 20th century by Communists and Socialists in political debates, referring pejoratively to the Communist “party line”, which provided for “correct” positions on many matters of politics.”

Over time, from the early twentieth century to the present day PC has been used by the Left & the Right, Conservatives, & Liberals alike in an attempt to promote multiculturalism and identity politics, by forcing us to change our use of language to a culturally inclusive and gender-neutral manner.

For example: a PC description of my self would be…

“a vertically, athletically, follicley challenged, more experienced citizen of European decent, with a proclivity to listen to a uniquely American archaic music form, originating from the expressions of emotion, of pre civil war slaves.”

Translation:  “A short, fat, bald, older, white feller, who likes to listen to the Blues”

The PC description, reminds me of the old poster of the comical picture of the “OSHA Approved Cowboy”

Humor aside, the darker side of the PC movement has most recently been seen, by the very large up tick in tort litigation brought by the bizarre perceptions of unsubstantiated insult to groups seeking reparations, and forced change (ie: the Washington Redskins name) filed by minority (size wise of the group) claiming to represent the whole. Basically a small group telling the rest of us (the larger group) what to do, whether we like it or not.

Even scarier, is Sen. Harry Reid, et-al proposing legislature, and avowing to make sure it passes no matter what, to amend the 1st drastically restricting the freedom of the press from expressing any ideas they as the congress (or party in power De Jure) don’t like. This is being done due to Harry and his buddies being angry about SCOTUS decision about the 1st, and campaign finance. (the Koch’s

Our rights have been over the last couple of decades, steadily, systematically, encroached on and regulated quietly by individuals flying along under the radar, enforcing an agenda aimed at greater and greater control of society… supposedly for our own good.

Oh by the by… history shows that the citizens of Germany, also did not realize  their rights had been slowly encroached upon by ideologies and agendas, before the rise of the Third Rich…something to think about.

Next, part II of my missive… and as Paul Harvey is want to say…”the rest of the story!”

The Obama Revolution: Part One of Four – "The Politics of Chaos"

From the very beginning of the Obama administrations run up to the presidency in 2008, a number of strategies/campaigns were initiated and covertly supported, to achieve a convoluted agenda of changing our current form of government from one of a “Constitutional Republic” [ref.], to one of a “Socialist Oligarchy” [ref. ][ref. ], with their own “High Priest” in the top leadership role.

With their kickoff at that time, and continuing to the present day, these strategies/campaigns, have been implemented with a great deal of efficacy, along various lines, through the vigorous efforts of a extremely loyal apostate of all others, with highly suspect backgrounds, as well as motives aside from those which are overtly, and repeatedly, very loudly averred to. The Yellow Shirt

I heard this story recently, and it struck me as very sweet and upbeat, and if there’s anything we need right now in the world it’s something to lighten the spirit.  Hope this gives you a boost today.

The yellow shirt had long sleeves, four extra-large pockets trimmed in black thread and snaps up the front. It was faded from years of wear, but still in decent shape. I found it in 1963 when I was home from college on Christmas break, rummaging through bags of clothes Mom intended to give away.

‘You’re not taking that old thing, are you?’ Mom said when she saw me packing the yellow shirt. ‘I wore that when I was pregnant with your brother in 1954! Continue reading
